34College Program VolunteerCollege Volunteers are current students interested in volunteering on a sporadic basis. They can help out at Council programs, organize Service Unit events, start/join a Campus Girl Scouts group at their school, or contribute to GSEP through another Council-approved avenue.
10Council Learning FacilitatorThe Council Learning Facilitator provides learning opportunities for adult volunteers to broaden their understanding of the Girl Scout program and to increase the skills and knowledge needed to carry out their volunteer positions with competence and satisfaction. This volunteer position is responsible for delivering courses, workshops, and resources to groups of volunteers in order to orient, prepare, and support them throughout their appointment. The nature of this position is to provide indirect service to girls. (This will not prompt you to apply for a background check.)
31Council Learning Facilitator (Background Check Renewal)The Council Learning Facilitator provides learning opportunities for adult volunteers to broaden their understanding of the Girl Scout program and to increase the skills and knowledge needed to carry out their volunteer positions with competence and satisfaction. 11Family Partnership Campaign ManagerTo act as a representative for Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania and communicate the benefits of the Family Partnership Campaign to troop leaders and parents. Manage collection of donations, and keep track of how much each troop has contributed. (This will prompt you to apply for a background check!)
37NonDirect Event / GSEP Site Rental - CBC Required This role is for those volunteers and nonmembers who will be attending events at GSEP properties where there may be girls present. A Criminal Background Check is required.
17Service Unit Cookie ManagerOrganize and facilitate the Cookie Program in the Service Unit. Trains and supports Troop Cookie Program Managers and serves as liaison between the Product Program department and troops. (This will prompt you to apply for a background check!)
27Service Unit ManagerTo manage a team of volunteers who promote, develop and maintain Girl scouts within the assigned service unit. (This will prompt you to apply for a background check!)
15Service Unit RegistrarFacilitate all aspects of the registration of troops and Service Unit (SU) personnel as well as verifying and maintaining registration reports and records according to GSUSA procedures. (This will prompt you to apply for a background check!)
21Service Unit TreasurerFacilitate all aspects of troop and service unit finances. (This will prompt you to apply for a background check!)
7Service Unit Troop OrganizerThe Troop Organizer is responsible for establishing troops and placing girls within troops. She or he provides logistical support to all troop volunteers within assigned jurisdiction. The nature of this position requires the individual to provide indirect service to girls.
8Troop Cookie ManagerProvide the troop with training and support during the duration of the Cookie Program. The Troop Cookie Manager is responsible for the finances during the Cookie Program and stays in constant communication with the Troop Treasurer/Leader. (This will prompt you to apply for a background check!)
30Troop Cookie Manager (BACKGROUND CHECK RENEWAL)This role is for the Troop Cookie Manager who is renewing their background clearance through GSEP. Provide the troop with training and support during the duration of the Cookie Program. The Troop Cookie Manager is responsible for the finances during the Cookie Program and stays in constant communication with the Troop Treasurer/Leader.
4Troop Leader/ Co-Leader/ Assistant LeaderThe Troop Leader has the enthusiasm and ability to nurture and grow girls’ interests and curiosities about the ways that they can discover themselves, connect with others, and take action to make the world a better place through the Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE). (This will prompt you to apply for a background check!)
29Troop Leader/ Co-Leader/ Assistant Leader (BACKGROUND CHECK RENEWAL)This role is for the Troop Leader/ Co-Leader who is renewing their background clearance through GSEP. (This will prompt you to apply for a background check!)
33Troop Nuts about Reading Manager (BACKGROUND CHECK RENEWAL)Provide the troops with training and support during the duration of the Nuts About Reading Program. The Troop Nuts About Reading Manager is responsible for the finances during the Nuts About Reading Program and stays in constant communication with the Troop Treasurer/Leader. (This will prompt you to apply for a background check!)
9Troop Parent/Helper - Overnight The Troop Parent/Helper - Overnight volunteer is responsible for establishing, planning, and implementing volunteer led, outdoor experiences for girls that are aligned to the Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE), such as day camps, camporees, encampments, or other council or community resident camps. (This will prompt you to apply for a background check!)
24Troop Parent/Helper (Frequent)Assist the Leader/Co-Leader on an as needed basis with troop activities. Agree to participate with the troop more than 3 times during the membership year or plan to go on overnight with girls. This role will require a satisfactory background clearance. (This will prompt you to apply for a background check!)
6Troop TreasurerManager and maintain all aspects of the troop’s finances. (This will prompt you to apply for a background check!)
